Web 2.0 conference, Marriott Hotel in Santa Clara
Again I got a free expo-only pass, and focussed mostly on talking to employers about what they need in a technician level new hire.
1) OpSource is a VERY large service provider located right in Santa Clara. Alas, the hiring manager was not there, but I got his name.
2) Lithium Technologies in Emeryville creates and supports online communities. I imagine they have tech support jobs too.
3) New Idea Engineering is a search engine consultant who was interested in coming to talk to my Ajax class. I spoke with Miles Kehoe. He also pointed me to this online cartoon:

4) Sun microsystems had a booth where they were demoing jMaki/GlassFish, a multi-tool web development system. Arun Gupta, whom I had met at CodeCamp, agreed to come talk to my class.
In less than an hour, I made a lot of contacts!
