The night before the Google Developers Conference opened, Google SF hosted an interesting party for the women developers. A panel of very high level women at Google spoke and answered our questions. It was great to feel included, since 99% of the Google IO attendees are men.

They recommend visiting the Computer History Museum.

The panel said that their individual success is because of
-continuous learning is encouraged
-try to get a different perspective

I asked the panel "What can I do to encourage women to major in computer science?" Their answers:
-Stress how creative and impactful the field is.
-Stress how social the process of software development is.
-Invite them to go to the Grace Hopper conference
-Tell them how much money they can make
